Also good for picking up pet hair. They used to have a notriously short life but they have come a long way. All are as powerful as the day we charged them up. HB did not replace the item so I reluctantly went with the Black & Decker (they used to be the worst busters out there).In addition to the charging station, this buster comes with 2 EZ to change-out on-board tools that are a great added benefit.
If seated regularly, the life of the battery will be extended and you will enjoy your buster for a long time. The plastic on my original buster actually wore away b/c of use on a ceramic floor. This one has a little brush attachment that prevents this from happening. I've had a dust buster in my home for decades now. My experience now says I would pay up to $40 today for this item. What a bargain.

Really. I was very pleqased with the Hamilton Beach wet-dry for the longest time, but it finally died.

I paid $9.99 ea last year. As a rule, you should not let most rechargeable batteries go dead or the life of the battery can be shorten.
Am pleased to say that this is by far the best hand held vac I have everowned. It is truly wonderful the pickup power this little vac has. Iwould definitely recommend it.
however this one is great. i had this in my apartment for nearly 2 years before I sold everything when i moved out. i remember the old dust busters and was not impressed. it is so handy to have around to pick up any kind of mess. i can't imagine keeping a clean place without it.crumbs, hair, dirt, etc are no match for it.
This was one of my best purchases of the year. We totally got our money's worth with this hand vacuum. Great suction and as long as you don't plan on cleaning your entire house or apt with this all in one shot, the battery life shouldn't be a problem. This is great for the quick little clean ups.
Nice vacuum and it's good product, save me alot of hastle.I got it for a very nice deal and i would recommended it.
